cloth doll making class judy skeel       Gemini Fairy Twins
Gemini: A Fairy of Two Seasons 2 different dolls PAY NOW, PLAY LATER! Work at your own pace
Join International Doll Instructor Judy Skeel in a journey to create not one but two different 16" fairies with individual costuming. This revised and expanded version of Gemini includes a fabulous additional workshop on making a variety of wings to give you more options -- a class by itself!
The all cloth doll workshop boasts two different heads with detailed faces allowing the workshop to focus on color combinations and makeup techniques for flat faces taught in Judy's traditional step-by-step method. Harvest Moon wears a raggedy layered skirt and leaf speckled over skirt, Mid Summers' Eve Fairy wears a pants and midriff combination including bead work. This workshop will also teach articulated fingers with nails and how to shape and pose hands for a natural appearance as well as a needle sculpted mitten hand option and needle sculpted feet. Pattern variations offer a variety of arm, leg and head patterns to allow the dollmaker to make several unique dolls from this workshop.
Some of the many techniques detailed in this workshop include:
How to easily turn, wire and stuff realistic hands
Shaping and posing details for natural hands
Details for finishing feet with sculpted toes
Create finger and toe nails that extend beyond the tip in realistic shapes and color
Facial drawing and painting step-by-step
Facial color for two different shapes and themes detailing fantasy eyes
Creating a wig of Tibetan goat skin
Illusion costuming for two complete outfits!
Embellishments with beads, ribbons and more
Free motion embroidery wings
