Rosie is a 16” sitting or hanging cloth doll made with a paper clay sculpted head and shoulder plate. Resting on her arm she has her little bird which you will also learn to sculpt out of paper clay and wire.
This doll has 2 part fixed arms that allows a variety of poses to be used – so you can create the expression you want. She is made with a flat sitter based body and soft dangling legs that allow her to sit well on a shelf or hang off the wall.
Soft silk has been used for her clothing with the simple addition of some ribbon. Really she is a design that can be as simple or a fancy as the embellishments you want to use.
Rosie has been given a slight antique painted finish to her body and limbs and her face is coloured with paint, prisma pencils, pastels and pigma pens. Full detailed instructions are given.
Come join me in the classroom where I will happily help you along with your own version of this gentle faced doll.
